Man Shot In The Back, Newark

 

Newark – On Friday, September 30, at about 11:30 p.m., New Castle County Police patrol officers were dispatched to the area of Auckland Dr. in reference to a shots-fired complaint, according to New Castle County Spokesman John-Paul Piser.

Piser said that arriving officers located evidence of a shooting in the 300 block of Auckland Drive.  Officers were advised that a 20-year-old male victim, suffering a gunshot wound to his back, had arrived at an area hospital and was transported there by personal vehicle, said Piser. The victim was treated and released.

Detectives are currently investigating the incident.
