Just In: Kent County Road Closed Due To Accident, Reports One Trapped

Hartly – At approximately 5:45 this afternoon, rescue crews with the Hartly Fire Company, along with Kent County Paramedics and Trooper 4 were dispatched to Arthursville Road and Fords Corner Road just for reports of a vehicle crash with entrapment.

Responding crews learned that one patient was possibly trapped, with a total of three patients. Upon arrival, crews reported that two drivers were out of the car walking around and one patient was still in their vehicle.

Just as Trooper 4 was about to arrive on scene they were recalled by ground medics. Two patients refused service.  It’s unclear if the third patient was transported to the hospital at this time.

Just after 6:00 State Police sent out an alert telling drivers to avoid the area “Traffic advisory-Roadway Shut Down-Lockwood Chapel Road is currently shut down in the area of Arthursville Road due to a crash.”
