Police: Bank Robbery Fail Lands Wilmington Man In Gander Hill

The Wilmington Police Department has arrested Lloyd Ledbetter, 42, of Wilmington in connection with the robbery of A Delaware Avenue bank.

Officials said on Tuesday afternoon, October 16, at approximately 4:44, officers were dispatched to WSFS Bank, located in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue, in reference to a bank robbery.

While en route to the bank, officers observed Ledbetter, who matched the description provided by witnesses, a few blocks from the scene. He was quickly apprehended.

Officials said all proceeds from the robbery were recovered and returned to the bank.

Ledbetter has been charged with Robbery 1st Degree and he has been committed to Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $10,000 cash bail.
