Firefighters from the Wilmington Fire department have responded to the Westin Hotel, located at 818 Shipyard Drive for an elevator rescue.
Crews are reporting that the elevator is stuck near the second floor and that two people are inside.
Additional crews are responding to assist.
Update: 9:40 am: Crews are reporting that both occupants of the elevator have been removed from the elevator. No injuries reported.
