Dover – The Dover Police Department has arrested Stephanie Jones, 46 , in connection with an alleged assault that occurred on Wednesday afternoon in the area of West Reed Street and South New Street, according to Dover Police Spokesman M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
Hoffman said that Jones turned herself in on Thursday morning on charges of Assault 1st Degree and Possession of a Deadly Weapon During Commission of Felony for allegedly using a broken beer bottle to cut a 50-year-old male victim’s face and neck.
The victim was transported to Kent General Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Witnesses and the victim advised officers that the two were arguing for an unknown reason, leading to Jones assaulting the male victim, according to Hoffman.
Bond information was not available for Jones at the time of release.
