Dover- The Delaware State Police Sussex County Drug Unit (SDU) have arrested two men in connection with the distribution of illegal drugs, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.
Jaffe said on July 10, 2019 members of the SDU concluded a drug distribution investigation in the matter of 39-year-old Robert W. Conklin of Millsboro. A search warrant was obtained for Conklin’s vehicle, a black Cadillac Escalade, which was determined to be Conklin’s primary vehicle to aid in his drug distribution, according to Jaffe.
Further investigation revealed that Conklin and his co-conspirator, 33-year-old Jonathan W. Bostick of Bridgeville had conducted drug transactions in the Red Lion, New Castle County area, added Jaffe.
With the assistance of the New Castle County Drug Unit, Kent County Drug Unit, Kent County Governor’s Task Force, and the Special Operations Response Team, Conklin and Bostick were apprehended while traveling on Korean War Veterans Memorial Highway (SR 1), just south of the Dover Toll Plaza without incident.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and the following items were seized:
Approximately 59.15 grams of crystal methamphetamine
Approximately 2,318.41 grams of marijuana
(11) 30 mg Oxycodone pills
Over $2,900.00 in suspected drug proceeds
Conklin and Bostick were transported back to Troop 4 where they were charged with the following:
Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance in a Tier 2 Quantity
Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 5 Quantity
Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 4 Quantity
Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance
Conspiracy Second Degree
Conklin was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $162,500.00 cash only bond.
Bostick was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $33,000.00 secured bond.
