Power Restored To Talleyville-Area, Concord Pike Reopened

Electricity has been restored to the roughly 1,100 customers that lost power Tuesday night.

Last evening, around 8:30 p.m. we received reports of an outage impacting more than 1,100 customers in Wilmington, between Silverside Road and Concord Pike, according to Delmarva Power Spokesman Timothy Stokes.

Stokes said Delmarva Power learned that a truck accident was the cause of the outage.  The accident resulted in downed wires and two damaged utility poles.

Delmarva Power crews arrived on scene to inspect the damage and complete repairs as quickly and safely as possible. Crews were able to restore service to all customers by 5:30 a.m. today.

At approximately 1:00 Wednesday afternoon, DelDOT crews reported the utility poles had been repaired and that the roads were reopened.
