Rescue crews from the Port Penn and Delaware City Fire Companies are responding the C & D Canal in the are of the Reedy Point Bridge for reports of a vessel in distress.
Trooper 2 has been alerted, however, Trooper 4 currently transporting a trauma patient from the Claymont area has informed dispatch that they will be able to make the response.
DNREC and U.S.Coast Guard crews are also en route.
Crew searching cannot locate the vessel.
Update: Crews have located the vessel and have determined that the occupants are safe. The boat reportedly struck something in the Delaware River and became disabled.
