Route 1 NB has been closed between the Roth Bridge and Wrangle Hill Road due to a serious crash.
Early indications are that a vehicle has crashed into a box truck and is lodge underneath the truck.
Crews are on scene working to free the patient.
One lane of Route 1 SB is also blocked by emergency vehicles.
Use alternate routes.
Update: Command has requested that Trooper 4 remain in the air while the patient is being evaluated.
Update: Troopers are now reporting that one lane in the NB lanes is getting by.
Update: NB traffic has been stopped again to allow Trooper 4 to land on the highway.
Update: Trooper 4 is on the ground.
Update: Command has requested DNREC to the scene for a HAZMAT situation.
