The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 44-year-old man in serious condition.
Public Information Officer, M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman said at approximately 9:06 PM, officers responded to the 400 Block of East Water Street in the Capital Green neighborhood for a subject injured by gunfire.
Upon arrival, officers located the male victim lying next to his vehicle in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. The victim was transported to Kent General Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and was later transported to Christiana Hospital to undergo further treatment.
