Wilmington – The Delaware State Police are investigating the knifepoint robbery of a Concord Pike (US 202) gas station that occurred Monday morning, according to Public Information Officer, Senior Corporal Jason Hatchell.
Hatchell said the incident occurred at approximately 10:55 a.m., this morning, Monday, December 23rd, 2019 at the Exxon gas station, located at 5301 Concord Pike. A black male armed with a small knife entered the business and approached a clerk standing behind the register. The male pointed the knife at the clerk who in turn opened the register and fled out of the store. The suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled out of the rear of the business in an unknown direction. The clerk was not injured as a result of the incident.
The suspect was described as a black male with a light complexion, wearing a black jacket with its hood up and in possession of a small knife.
