Georgetown- The Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to locate 33-year-old Alvaro E. Marroquinn of North Versailles, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh) who is wanted in connection with a shooting incident, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.
Jaffe said the incident occurred on February 1, 2020, at approximately 3:56 a.m., when EMS was dispatched to the 100 block of Garden Circle, Georgetown for an unknown medical emergency. Upon arrival, EMS located a 39-year-old female in an orange Toyota Tacoma suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by EMS to the Sussex Bayhealth Hospital and later transferred to the Christiana Hospital in serious condition.
Through investigative measures, Alvaro Marroquinn was developed as a suspect, said Jaffe. Troopers have been unable to locate Marroquinn who currently has active warrants out of Troop 4 for the following:
Assault First Degree
Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Marroquinn is asked to contact Troop 4, Detective Wideman at 302-856-5850.

An inspection of the vehicle by Troopers revealed that the front side passenger window sustained damage consistent with a gunshot.
Troopers do not have any suspect information at this time, according to Jaffe.
