Police: Thieves Smash Windows At Two Dover Stores

The Dover Police Department is investigating two smash and grab robberies that occurred this week.

On Monday morning a burglary occurred at the WAWA located at 2800 N. DuPont Highway. At approximately 2:30AM, an unknown male suspect shattered a rear glass door to the business. Once inside, the suspect stole tobacco and vape products before fleeing the scene. Police said the suspect was a skinny male with a blue mask, a head covering, white t-shirt, and gray sweatpants.

On Tuesday morning a second burglary occurred at a Dollar Tree store located at 261 N. DuPont Highway. At approximately 1:09AM, three suspects broke the front glass window to the business with a rock. Once inside, the suspects checked the cash registers, then proceeded to steal various food, snacks, and drinks before fleeing.
