Wilmington – Last evening, Sunday, at around 11:30, First State Update reported that rescue crews from the Minquas Fire Company along with New Castle County Paramedics and Police responded to a home in the 100 block of Maple Hill Road near Newport for reports of a stabbing.
We also reported that while en route to the scene crews learned that four people had been stabbed at the home according to initial radio reports.
Follow on reports indicated that three of the four patients were Trauma Coded and were transported by ambulance with medics accompanying. A fourth patient was reportedly transported by EMTs.
New Castle County Police officers were dispatched to Maple Hill Road for a large fight in progress, according to NCCPD Spokesman G. LopezGarcia.
LopezGarcia said that patrol officers discovered three victims who were suffering injuries consistent with stab wounds. The fourth patient received injuries that were not consistent with stab wounds.
According to the statement, the victims were transported to a local hospital and were treated and released.
