Third Shooting Victim Succumbs To His Injuries

The Wilmington Police Department said another victim has succumbed to injuries suffered in a rash of shootings earlier this week.

At approximately 10:55 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the 1100 block of Beech Street for reports that multiple people shot.  Arriving officers found four gunshot victims at that location: a 17-year-old male and a 23-year-old female who both succumbed to their injuries, and an 18-year-old male and a 26-year-old male who are both listed in stable condition.

Hours later at approximately 1:57 a.m. officers responded to the 900 block of North Lombard Street where they found  24-year-old Khalil Ameer-Bey.   He was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.

On Wednesday officials identified the victims that died in the Beech Street shooting as 17-year-old Nyzere Seth and 23-year-old Alexus Cumberbatch.
