Possible Development In Newark Charter Student Case

Yesterday the Delaware State Police announced that the body of the 17-year-old missing Newark Charter School Student, Madison Sparrow, was found.

Authorities did not release details surrounding the discovery, only saying that additional information will be released once it becomes available.

Madison’s disappearance on Friday compelled some to organize a search party near the University of Delaware, the location where her phone was last pinged.

As family and friends took to social media they began posting the name of a male that was reportedly being questioned by police.

On Monday a search of court records showed that no one by that name was in custody and that there were no warrants for that person’s arrest.

This morning court records showed that a person with the posted name was taken into custody Monday night at 9:10.

The nature of the charges is unknown. It not clear if any charges are related to Madison’s case or if this is an unrelated arrest.
