On April 20th, 2021 patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to a robbery that had just occurred at 1907 Centerville Road, The Valero Gas Station, according to police.
Officials said when the units arrived, they learned that a masked suspect entered the store, brandished a knife, and left with an undisclosed amount of money. Additional witnesses also reported to the officers that the suspect ran from the Valero to a local elementary school where the suspect entered a blue Honda Civic and left the area.
The patrol officers’ investigation was able to identify the suspect as possibly, 18-year-old Isaac Flores.
Through their, investigation, 18-year-old Isaac Flores was identified as the suspect who robbed the Valero, officials said Tuesday.
Authorities said in addition, Flores’ history was tracked from his court-ordered (GPS) ankle bracelet and this implicated him in other robberies.
Last Friday, May 7th members of the New Castle County Division of Police Special Weapons and Tactics Team, detectives, and Troopers from the Delaware State Police were able to locate and take Flores into custody without incident.
He was transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters and was charged with one count of felony Robbery 1st, one count of felony Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, one count of felony Aggravated Menacing. The Delaware State Police charged him with additional felony counts of Robbery 1st, Aggravated Menacing, and Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony.
He was arraigned by New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and held in lieu of $300,000 cash bail.
