Just In: Plane With Five Souls Onboard Goes Into The Water Near Ocean City

Just before 1:30, Sunday afternoon crews responded to the waters just off of Assateague State Park after receiving reports that a plane with five souls onboard had gone into the bay.

As crews responded to the scene they were advised that all five occupants were in the water and had been picked up by two separate boats that were nearby when the plane went down.

Radio traffic indicates that when crews arrived on scene they reported that the plane was approximately 100 yards off the shoreline.

Crews also reported that the caller was reporting that none of the occupants of the plane were injured in the crash and that they were transporting them to Atlantic Tackle in Ocean City to be evaluated.
