Two Seriously Injured In Newark Crash Tuesday Night

At approximately 8:05 p.m., New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMS), Aetna Hose Hook & Ladder Company of Newark, Christiana Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to the intersection of Summit Bridge Road and Glasgow Avenue for a motor vehicle collision with entrapment, according to NCCEMS Assistant PIO Emily Mallon.

Mallon said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found two patients trapped in vehicles. A 21-year-old male was extricated from the vehicle by fire department personnel after 20 minutes. He was treated for possible internal injuries. He was transported to Christiana Hospital via Aetna Hose Hook & Ladder Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics, in serious condition.

An approximately 30-year-old male was extricated from the vehicle by fire department personnel after 45 minutes. He was treated for possible head and chest injuries. He was transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police Aviation, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics, in critical condition.
