Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred at approximately 9:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Kirkwood Street.
Police said they located a 56-year-old Carla Aiken suffering from gunshot wounds upon their arrival. Aiken was transported to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
