Update: Woman Stuck Under Her Vehicle Wednesday Morning

Newark – At approximately 8:10 a.m. the New Castle County Paramedics were requested to respond to the 200 block of
Fieldstone Lane, in the Country Creek neighborhood, for a subject struck by an automobile, according to PIO S/Sergeant Abigail Haas.

Haas said upon arrival of the New Castle County Paramedics a woman believed to be in her 80s was found to have been
struck by her own vehicle as she exited it.

The woman was briefly trapped underneath the small SUV. She was treated by the Paramedics for head, extremity, and possible internal injuries. She was transported to the Christiana Hospital in serious condition.

The New Castle County Police Department is investigating the incident.
