Thursday Night Shooting Of Two Prompts Search For Suspects

Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. Thursday in the area of Sherman and Lombard Streets.

Police said they located a 25-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital in stable condition. A second shooting victim, a 23-year-old male gunshot victim, was found at the hospital. He was in stable condition.

Sources tell FSU that Wilmington Police chased a vehicle in relation to this shooting. Three suspects reportedly bailed out of the vehicle which prompted a search of the area of Rogers Road and I-495. The search was conducted by ground and by air. It’s not clear if any of the suspects were found.
