Video: Man Airlifted In Critical Condition After ATV Crash In Claymont

Delaware State Police is investigating an accident that left one man in critical condition.

At approximately 7:04 p.m. Saturday night the New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMS), Claymont Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation Unit were dispatched to Philadelphia Pike and Penn Avenue, in Claymont, for the report of an ATV collision with injuries, according to NCCEMS PIO S/Sergeant Abigail Haas.

Haas said Responders arrived on the scene to find a single patient, who had been injured when he became separated from the ATV he was operating.

The approximately 30-year-old male was treated on scene by the Paramedics for a head injury and abrasions. He was transported aboard Delaware State Police Helicopter, accompanied by the New Castle County Paramedics, to the Christiana Hospital, in Stanton, in critical condition.
