Man Critically Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle Early Sunday

At approximately 6:16 a.m. the New Castle County Paramedics were requested to respond to the 1000 block of South College Avenue in Newark, for the report of a pedestrian struck by automobile according to S/Sergeant Abigail Haas.

Haas said upon arrival of the New Castle County Paramedics a single patient was located. The approximately 60 year-old male was treated on scene by the Paramedics for a head injury, possible internal injuries and extremity injuries.

The man was transported to the Christiana Hospital, in Stanton, in critical condition.

The Newark Police is investigating the incident.
