Just before 1:00 Saturday afternoon, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Hollyville Road in Harbeson, Delaware, after receiving reports of a serious collision.
As crews made their way to the location, they were informed that the vehicle involved in the accident was overturned, with all airbags deployed, and fuel was leaking from the car.
Reports from bystanders at the scene suggested that the driver might have been thrown from the vehicle and could be somewhere in the nearby field.
Upon arrival, the first responders conducted a thorough search of the area surrounding the overturned vehicle. However, their initial search did not yield any sign of the driver.
As the incident unfolded, the responders reported that a utility pole had also been struck during the accident,.
Emergency personnel requested the assistance of Trooper 2 to help search for the driver, however, before the helicopter arrived on scene, updates were relayed to the responding crews that the missing driver had been located. With the driver accounted for, the helicopter and additional medics were recalled.
