Man Seriously Injured In Route 40 Crash Saturday

On Saturday, August 5, 2023, a motor vehicle collision occurred on Pulaski Highway, near La Grange Parkway in Newark.

New Castle County Paramedics and the Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder Company responded to the scene. They arrived at the scene to find a single vehicle involved in the accident. One person, a 32-year-old male, was seriously injured with head and extremity injuries.

He was transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton by New Castle County Paramedics onboard an Aetna ambulance. Meanwhile, the second person, a 33-year-old male, declined medical treatment on site.

The Delaware State Police has taken charge of the investigation to determine the cause and circumstances of the collision.
