The New Castle County Division of Police has charged Larry Dorsey (62) of Wilmington with driving under the influence of alcohol, his third offense.
Officials said on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 8:08 PM officers responded to the 100 block of Donhaven Drive in the community of Garfield Park in reference to a motor vehicle crash causing damage to a parked car.
Officers contacted the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle Larry Dorsey, who exhibited signs of impairment according to police. After conducting a DUI investigation, Dorsey was taken into custody at the scene. An inquiry for Dorsey listed two prior DUI convictions in Delaware officials said Monday.
Larry Dorsey was charged with one felony count of Driving a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol (3rd Offense), one misdemeanor count of Driving While Suspended or Revoked, and one count of Careless Driving.
Dorsey was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $2,550.00 cash bail.
