Three Injured In Route 40 Crash Wednesday

On October 4, 2023, at approximately 4:13 PM, a motor vehicle collision with injuries occurred in the 1700 block of Pulaski Highway. The incident involved three vehicles and resulted in a total of three patients in need of medical attention.

New Castle County Paramedics, Christiana Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to the scene following the report of the collision.

Upon arrival, emergency units found a scene, with three vehicles involved in the collision. Among the injured parties, a 60-year-old female patient was attended to by New Castle County Paramedics. Her injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening. She was transported aboard a Christiana Fire Company Ambulance to Christiana Hospital for further medical evaluation and care.

Another individual, a 40-year-old male, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. He received immediate medical attention and was subsequently transported by a Basic Life Support ambulance from Christiana Fire Company to Christiana Hospital.

In addition to the two transported patients, a third individual involved in the collision was assessed by Basic Life Support personnel. This patient, however, declined further medical treatment at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police.
