17-Year-Old Shot Friday Evening

Wilmington Police are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 8:19 p.m. Friday evening

Officials said law enforcement officers responded to the scene in the 2700 block of West Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a 17-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was provided with medical attention and then transported to the hospital. He was reported to be in stable condition at the time of transport.

The situation is currently under investigation by the Wilmington Police, and further details will be disclosed as the investigation progresses police said.
