On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 12:57 PM, a vehicle fire was reported at 1005 Centre Road near Elsmere,
Firefighters from the Cranston Heights and Elsmere Fire Companies were dispatched to the scene. During their response, they were informed that an off-duty firefighter was already present at the location and had reported that the vehicle was fully involved in flames.
Upon arrival, the crews were able to quickly extinguish the vehicle fire and cleared the scene in less than 20 minutes after the initial dispatch.
The incident has cleared and the road is open.
