Newark High School Reportedly On Lockdown, Police Release Details

The Newark Police Department is conducting an investigation at Newark High School following threats made against the school and its staff.

These incidents are currently being treated as “swatting,” where the threat to the general public is deemed low officials said.

Despite this, law enforcement officers are present in the area, both to investigate and to ensure a safe dismissal of students at the end of the school day.

Several parents have contacted FSU and are reporting they are being told that the school is in lockdown.
