On Friday, February 23, 2024, at approximately 11:48 pm, patrol officers with the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the 1400 block of New Jersey Avenue for a stabbing that had just occurred.
Officers arrived and located a 47-year-old male who told officers he had been assaulted and had multiple cuts and stab wounds to his body.
The male was transported via ambulance to a local hospital for his injuries, where he is in stable condition. At this time, there is no suspect information police can provide to the public, but it is believed the incident occurred on W. Jefferson Avenue in Leedom Estates.
