Sources: Dover Air Force Base Shooting Accidental

Two teenagers were involved in a shooting incident at Dover Air Force Base, which has been described by sources as an accidental discharge of a firearm.

FSU first told you on Sunday that the incident occurred on Saturday evening. At approximately 9:39, Kent County Paramedics and St. Francis Ambulance Crews were dispatched to a report of a police action on the base.

The emergency response teams arrived at the scene in the 2000 block of Ash Court, within the base housing area, where they found the two teens with gunshot wounds.

The teens were transported to Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus, for medical attention. The teens injuries are reportedly non-life-threatening, one suffering a graze wound, while the other was wounded in the hand according to sources.

Details about the incident are still emerging, and official statements have yet to be released to the public.
