Newark House Fire, Crash Sends Three To Hospital Wednesday

Just after 7:15 on Wednesday morning, firefighters from various departments across New Castle County responded to a house fire on Augusta Drive in Newark. The blaze resulted in injuries to two individuals, who were subsequently transported to Christiana Hospital to receive medical treatment for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters from Newport, believed to be en route to the fire scene, were involved in an accident with a pickup truck on Route 4 in Stanton. One patient injured in the crash, also required medical attention and was taken to Christiana Hospital.
