Wilmington Police have announced developments in the ongoing investigation of a shooting incident that took place earlier this month.
Officials said at around 7:36 p.m. on April 4, police responded to the area of West 5th and North Madison Streets. Originally, authorities reported that a 33-year-old male gunshot victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition following the incident.
Subsequent to the initial response, police were alerted to another man suffering from gunshot who independently arrived at an area hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. After an investigation, detectives determined this man, identified as Javour Tabron, 27, was a suspect in the shooting according to police.
Tabron faces multiple charges including Attempted Murder in the First Degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited. Additional charges include Six Counts of Reckless Endangering, Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, Conspiracy in the First Degree, Providing a False Statement to Law Enforcement, and Five Counts of Criminal Mischief (Under $5,000).
Following his arraignment in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas, he was transported to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution, where he is being held on $197,500 cash-only bail.
