Man Airlifted After Being Ejected Into Ditch Friday

Delaware State Police are investigating a rollover crash with ejection that took place on Friday morning.

The incident, reportedly involving an unrestrained driver, occurred at approximately 7:09 AM at the intersection of Halltown Road and Hourglass Road in Hartly, Kent County. The vehicle reportedly rolled over several times and ejected a man into a nearby ditch.

Responding units included the Hartly Volunteer Fire Company, Kent County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4. Due to the critical nature of the injuries, the patient was airlifted to Christiana Hospital by Trooper 4.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, with more details expected to be made available later today.
