Crash Closes Route 13 In Smyrna, Extended Delays Expected

At approximately 1:13 on Thursday afternoon, a severe traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle occurred at the intersection of South Dupont Boulevard and Dominick Boulevard in Smyrna. A New Castle County firefighter, on scene first, reported very serious injuries.

Emergency response teams from Smyrna, Kent County Paramedics, and the Delaware State Police’s Trooper 4 helicopter were dispatched e to the incident.

Route 13 SB will be closed for an extended period of time. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and expect significant delays.
