Just after 4:20 Saturday afternoon rescue crews responded to the Valero located at 891 S Dupont Highway (Route 13), in New Castle, following reports of a shooting victim located in a vehicle at the site. The shooting was reported to have occurred at a different location, with the victim relocating to the business before emergency services were alerted.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a male in his 30s suffering from gunshot wounds. Initial reports indicate that the victim was in serious condition and has since been transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
