In the Crimes Against Person category, the total number of incidents decreased by 10.38%, from 549 in 2022 to 492 in 2023. This category encompasses various offenses, including Kidnap/Unlawful Imprisonment, which saw a significant reduction of 57.41%, from 7 incidents in 2022 to 3 in 2023. Simple Assault also declined by 17.67%, from 101 cases in 2022 to 94 in 2023. The department reported zero Homicides in 2022 or 2023.
Rapes, Sex Offenses, and Intimidation Offenses all decreased in 2023, however, not all offenses saw a decrease. For instance, Aggravated Assault incidents increased by 16.07%, with 65 cases reported in 2023 compared to 56 in 2022 and Burglaries increased by 10% in 2023.
