Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle

The Delaware State Police are investigating an incident where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Sunday evening.

At approximately 10:05 PM, crews responded to the collision at the intersection of Farrand Drive and Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington where they foun a man suffering from serious injuries.

The victim, an approximately 25-year-old male, was struck by a vehicle traveling at around 50 mph, resulting in serious injuries to his arm and leg, according to reports from the scene.

The injured man was transported to Christiana Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation by the Delaware State Police.
