Man Injured When Trapped Against Building Tuesday

The Delaware State Police are investigating an accident that left a man seriously injured Tuesday.

At approximately 9:03 a.m. New Castle County Paramedics and the Claymont Fire Company were dispatched to the unit block of Yale Road for reports of a subject trapped between a vehicle and a building.

Units arrived on scene to find one 50-year-old male patient. The patient was walking behind his pickup truck, when it rolled back and trapped him against a garage door. The patient was trapped for approximately 10 minutes before being extricated.

The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, by New Castle County Paramedics on board Delaware State Police Aviation. He was in serious condition with extremity injuries and possible internal injuries.
