The Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that left two seriously injured Wednesday.
At approximately 2:35 PM, emergency personnel from New Castle County Paramedics and the Claymont Fire Company responded to a serious motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Naamans Road and Montclair Drive. The incident involved an SUV that had rolled over as a result of the collision.
Upon arriving at the scene, first responders found two occupants in need of immediate medical attention. A 35-year-old woman was treated by New Castle County Paramedics for a head injury and suspected internal injuries. Due to the severity of her condition, she was airlifted to Christiana Hospital in Stanton by the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit in critical condition.
A 10-year-old boy, also involved in the accident, sustained injuries and was treated at the scene before being transported in serious condition to Christiana Hospital by a basic life support ambulance from the Claymont Fire Company.
