Rider Seriously Injured After Being Ejected From Motorcycle

Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that left a man seriously injured Friday evening.

Officials said at approximately 8:50 PM on October 11th, 2024, New Castle County Paramedics and the Christiana Fire Company were dispatched to the 500 block of Center Boulevard in response to a reported motorcycle crash.

Upon arrival, fire department units discovered that a single motorcycle had left the roadway and was involved in a collision. The operator, identified as an approximately 47-year-old male, had been ejected from the motorcycle and was found in the roadway.

New Castle County Paramedics provided immediate medical care, treating the individual for a possible head injury. He was transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, in serious condition by an ambulance from the Minquas Fire Company.

Responding agencies included New Castle County EMS (Paramedics), Minquas Fire Company, Christiana Fire Company, and the Delaware State Police.
