Rescue Crews Responding To Building Collapse In Wilmington

At 8:41 AM this morning, rescue crews were dispatched to a building collapse at the intersection of A Street and South Heald Street in Wilmington.

Emergency personnel on scene have evacuated neighboring structures as a precaution. Command has requested Delmarva Power to secure the gas line to the affected structure.

The extent of the collapse and potential injuries remain unclear at this time, as crews continue to assess the situation. The intersection is closed to motorist.
