Just after 1:00 Monday morning, rescue crews from the Townsend and Odessa Fire Companies responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident with multiple injuries on Route 1 South near Pine Tree Road.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel evaluated two individuals involved in the crash. One patient was transported to a medical facility in Middletown with non-life-threatening injuries, while a second individual declined transport.
Route 1 Southbound was closed temporarily as crews worked to manage the scene and clear the roadway.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
