Dover Police have updated a story only FSU told you about last night.
The Dover Police Department has arrested Deshaun Williams, 31, of Dover, following a shooting Sunday evening. The investigation began at 7:10 p.m., when Dover Police received several calls for a shooting in the 100 block of Maple Glen Drive.
Officers responded and located the victim, a 39-year-old male, who had been shot in his upper body. Officers provided medical aid to the victim until he was transported to an area hospital for treatment where he was listed as critical but stable condition.
The ensuing investigation showed that Williams was in a verbal argument with the victim and at some point Williams pulled out a firearm, shot him, and left the area police said. Williams was later arrested by the Delaware State Police in the Hartly area and turned over to the Dover Police Department to be processed and arraigned.
Williams was committed to SCI on $78,000 cash bail on the following charges:
-Assault First Degree
-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
-Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (2x)
-Reckless Endangering First Degree
