Crews Respond To Newark House Fire Monday Morning

Firefighters responded to a residential structure fire early Monday morning in the unit block of Queens Circle within the Buckingham Place Townhouses in Newark. Upon arrival, crews encountered fire showing from the residence. Initial reports indicate that the fire originated on the first floor at the rear of the home.

Firefighters immediately entered the residence to attack the flames while simultaneously conducting a search for any occupants. No individuals were found inside the home. The fire was brought under control approximately 20 minutes into the incident.

In addition to the primary structure, firefighters also entered an adjacent home where they encountered smoke conditions. However, the fire did not extend into that property. A search of the neighboring residence confirmed that it was unoccupied.

Crews remained on scene for to address hotspots and conduct overhaul operations to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
