The Delaware State Police have arrested three Newark residents in connection with a series of thefts from All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington. Thomas Hudson, 34, Ashley Newcomb, 32, and Alonza Mosley, 37, face multiple theft and related charges after allegedly stealing nearly 200 bronze ceremonial vases from gravestones between September and November 2024.
Officials said the cemetery, located at 6001 Kirkwood Highway, reported multiple incidents of trespassing and theft during nighttime hours. According to investigators, four suspects carrying large bags or backpacks entered the property after hours and removed bronze vases from individual gravestones before fleeing in a nearby vehicle. Authorities estimate the total value of the stolen property exceeds $100,000.
Through investigative efforts, troopers determined that the stolen vases were sold at a recycling center in New Castle multiple times over the three-month period. Further examination revealed that the suspects used another person’s identification to conduct the transactions police said.
Following a months-long investigation, law enforcement executed search and arrest warrants at a residence in Newark on February 19, 2025, where all three suspects were taken into custody without incident. The identity of a fourth suspect remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
