One Airlifted After Vehicle Crashes Into Home Friday

CAMDEN, Del. – Emergency crews responded to a serious crash involving entrapment in the 700 block of Quail Run in Camden just before 7:50 p.m. Friday evening.

Crews from Camden Wyoming Fire Company, Hartly Fire Company, Kent County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 were dispatched to the scene following reports that a vehicle had struck a residence and that a person was trapped.

First arriving units confirmed entrapment upon arrival. Rescue personnel worked for approximately 20 minutes before successfully extricating the patient at 8:06 p.m.

Due to the severity of the injuries sustained, the patient was airlifted by Trooper 4 to Christiana Hospital for treatment. The condition of the patient has not been released. There were no immediate reports of injuries to other occupants of the residence.
