Pedestrian Airlifted After Being Struck On Route 13 In Dover

A woman was hospitalized early Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Dover.

Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 12:51 a.m. to the 200 block of North Dupont Highway for reports of a pedestrian struck. Dover Ambulance 63 and Kent County Paramedics arrived on scene and located a woman in her 30s who had been hit by a vehicle according to initial reports from the scene.

Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 responded and landed near the scene. The woman was transferred to the helicopter and airlifted to Christiana Hospital, arriving at the emergency room helipad about an hour after the initial dispatch.

No details have been released regarding the woman’s condition. The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
